Horse competition

Hi, my name is Grace and I’ve got a horse called Diamond.  Diamond is a horse with a diamond on her forehead, with a black mane and tail.  She also is dark brown.  I am a girl with brown hair and a beautiful purple vest.  Well on with the story – ok!

Once upon a time there was a horse called Diamond. Oh no I have the wrong story. Here is the story.  Once Diamond and I were practising for a competition, first I put on Diamond’s beautiful saddle and bridle.  How I got them,was told in my story “My pony”. First we cantered over a long and high bush.  Diamond made it.  We did a lot more jumps but I can’t fit it all in this story.Well I put Diamond into the horsefloat and we headed off to the Domain.  When we got there, there was little stables. We found Diamond’s one.

Then was the start of the race. (By the way they do one at a time).  Diamond and I got picked to do it first.  I first got onto Diamond.  Second we did a forward canter and the timer was on. Thirdly we jumped over a tall and long hedge.  Fourth we jumped into a gigantic ditch and jumped back out.  We cantered through a huge field.  We stood up on our stirrups and did a lap.  Sixth we sat down and jumped up and over a huge fence. Seventh we went through a stream.  Then I picked up a purple flag and  put it into a big cylinder. We were heading to the finish line.  We cantered to the finish and jumped over a huge horse shoe.  Finished.

I hopped off Diamond and put on her holter.  I lead her to the stable.  I tied her onto the stable.  I first took off Diamond’s bridle then I took her saddle off and put the saddle and bridle away. I got the bucket and sponge and gave Diamond a nice bath.  I dried Diamond off and put her in her stable.

One hour later, the podium was set out in a big field where all the stables were. They called on the mike “All competitors did well but now we will announce the winners.  Third place goes to Chloe and Polly”.  They received a medal.

“Second place goes to Bob and Charlie”.  They received a hat and medal.

“Now the moment that you have all been waiting for.  First goes to GRACE AND DIAMOND”.  We received a flower garland for Diamond and for me a medal and trophy.  “Yay”  we cried.  Diamond let out a happy “neigh”.  And that is what happened.
